Oxygen Generating Systems International (OGSI), a member of NOVAIR Group is a global leader in the production of oxygen generators made in the United States of America. Our equipment produces medical-grade oxygen with a purity of up to 96% to help save lives, boost industrial output, and reduce costs and accidents associated with the delivery of liquid oxygen.

1995
Oxygen Generating Systems, Inc. (OGSI) was established with the goal of becoming the world’s leading supplier of PSA oxygen generators for medical (Hospital) applications.

1996
OGSI introduced its first complete product line. These PSA oxygen generators were the most energy-efficient on the market and offered numerous advantages over competitors’ equipment.

1997
OGSI installed a proprietary Remote Telecommunications Package on plants that were sent to Africa, South America, and faraway places in the United States.

1998
OGSI received assistance from the Western New York Technology Development Center (WNYTDC) in the creation of an improved oxygen PSA technology with a concentration of 99 percent.
OGSI was given a medical development project in Argentina for three large hospital systems that was sponsored by the World Bank.

1999
NASA chose OGSI for a Crucial Application at Cape Canaveral.
OGSI’s improved single-bed Vacuum-assisted PSA (VPSA) miniature system design was granted Patent #5,928,610.

2000
OGSI and a Chinese partner sign a joint venture agreement to form OGEAS Sea Farming Co. Ltd. This is an operational fish farm that uses the most recent high-tech equipment (including OGSI systems).
The SBDC nominates OGSI as the “Western New York Exporter of the Year.”

The U.S. Small Business Administration named OGSI the “New York State Exporter of the Year.”

2001
OGSA – Inc. Magazine names OGSI one of America’s 500 fastest-growing private companies on its annual list of the Inc. 500 in February 2001. With a compound annual growth rate of 58.5 percent over the five-year period from 1996 to 2001, OGSI came in at number 331 on the list.

2002
OGSI equipment was installed in over fifty nations as the company continued to expand into new areas. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) provided funding for the company’s initial projects in Israel’s West Bank. OGSI equipment was also used by over 100 major medical facilities, including Beijing University Hospital.

2003
The business relocated to 70 John Glenn Drive in Amherst, New York, where it now occupies more than 24,000 square feet. The company was able to meet the increasing global demand for its products thanks to the expanded office and manufacturing space.

2004
In February, the Audubon Machinery Corporation (AMC) purchased OGSI, which is now known as Oxygen Generating Systems International. OGSI is currently expanding its operations, developing new products, and continuing to enter new markets with its product line with the help of that organization’s substantial financial resources. In August, OGSI held its first-ever International Sales Conference at its headquarters in Amherst, New York, which was met with great success. Attendees included representatives and distributors from more than 20 nations and regions of the United States.

2005
Open Ratings ranks Schlyer Machine, OGSI’s sister company, among the top 20% of government contractors of the year.
OGSI relocated to a 40,000 square foot facility for its operations. A remediated former brownfield site of 4 acres served as the foundation for the new building. To obtain a certified Green Building Status from the US Green Building Council, OGSI has implemented energy-efficient measures in accordance with LEED (Leader in Energy Efficient Designs) guidelines. The Council is a group of building industry leaders who advocate for environmentally friendly workplaces.

2007
The New York State Small Business Development Center Hall of Fame honored Audubon Machinery Corp. (AMC).
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) awards LEED Certification to Audubon Machinery Corp.

2007 – 2012
AMC was named one of Inc. 5000’s Top 5000 Fastest Growing Companies.
Six years in a row, AMC makes Business First’s Fast Track 50

2008 -2012
The conformity mark is awarded to Audubon Machinery Corp. between 2008 and 2012. The CE mark permits the free movement of goods within the European market and demonstrates our compliance with EU regulations.

January 1, 2022
NOVAIR, the world’s leading manufacturer of on-site gas production systems, will acquire Audubon Machinery, which includes OGSI and SMC-Roe. Audubon Machinery is pleased to announce the acquisition.

OGSI and the US market now have access to high-end PSA oxygen and nitrogen generators for industrial and medical use, high-pressure oxygen cylinder filling systems, and medical air/vacuum systems as part of the NOVAIR Group. Through NOVAIR’s internationally recognized engineering competencies and services, additional synergies are anticipated.
